Now in theory and custom battle testing it worked perfectly with some micro management mainly i formed up the knights swung wide with the archers and then sent in the knights at which point i took the archers around the enemy sat them on the flank away from any reinforcements coming in and then had them dismount ( ive found they seem to be more effective on foot ) and just fire volleys into the enemy who are busy fighting my knights normally losing horribly to them alone when a volley of arrows start slamming into there side and backs but now on campaign ive got a problem.

Im playing as swadia and i decided to go for the hammer and anvil approach to open battle's using a massed force of swadian knights ( expensive buggers ) as the hammer and a light force of kherkit horse archers as the anvil.
